The International Office is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for international students applying to Coventry University for the year 2007/08. The Vice Chancellor has recently announced scholarship awards amounting to £500,000 which will be offered to international students coming to study undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
Scholarship details
There are three key areas of the scheme:
Merit Scholarship scheme: Worth £1,000. Available to all international students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Coventry University in 2007/2008.
Early Payment Scholarship: Worth £500. Available to all international students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Coventry University in 2007/2008. Students must pay full fees in advance of enrolment to qualify for this scholarship to receive the award.
Alumni Scholarship: Worth £500. Available to all existing Coventry University international, EU and UK students progressing to postgraduate programmes 2007/2008. This award is available automatically to all existing Coventry University students progressing to postgraduate programmes, upon receiving a conditional or unconditional offer form the University
Eligibility and application procedure
- Merit scholarships are worth £1,000.
- All scholarships are valid for year one only.
- The maximum amount any international student can claim is £1,500.
- An international student can combine a merit award (£1,000) with either an ‘Early Payment’ or ‘Alumni’ scholarship (£500) but not both.
- An international student can combine an ‘Early Payment’ and ‘Alumni’ scholarship to a maximum of £1,000, but not in conjunction with a merit award.
- There is no separate scholarship application process: all applications from self-funded international students from any non-EU country will automatically be considered for a merit award.
- Scholarships will be available across all subject areas for undergraduate postgraduate taught and research courses.
- Scholarships are to be awarded by the University on the basis of academic merit.
- You will automatically be considered for a scholarship if you have received an offer of a place at the University and notified accordingly.
- Apply for your academic course in good time. In order to be considered for a scholarship you must be holding a conditional or unconditional offer.
